View from the buffer stops, looking north. Northside housing estate to the left, up the embankment. At the top of the fields to the right is the old reservoir for St. Helen's Colliery, Siddick. It was fed from a pumping-station on the River Derwent at Barepot, between the river and the Workington-Cockermouth line.
