BPEL Orchestration Patterns

The early benefits of implementing orchestration architectures on Web Service standards will be experienced in IT development and management, allowing applications to be built and assembled more quickly and flexibly. Such applications may not look very different to the users - after all workflow and business process management applications have been around for a long time, and BPEL simply makes it easier to deliver such applications. However, in the CBDI view, the real payoff of standardizing the orchestration layer is that it opens up new opportunities at the business level for delivering differentiated services to customers.
