Camp iAfrika
prides itself on the quality of its management and camp staff.
Being a family business, each member of the family contributes to
the success of the camp. These skills and experiences include:
several years of local camp experience in the South African
environment, extensive knowledge of the country and its very
unique local conditions, first hand experience of summer camps in
the USA, university degrees in Environmental and Geographical
Science and Business Management, extensive farming and game
knowledge and sporting achievements at a national and
international level.
Each camp will be lead by a Tour Leader with extensive knowledge
of the South African environment. Capable camp counsellors are
recruited both locally and internationally, with at least half
the counsellors per camp having had previous summer camp
experience. Each counsellor will be skilled in a specific camp
activity and also be a suitable role model to the campers. The
counselor to camper ratio is 1:8.
Instruction will be always be age-appropriate and of the highest
quality, and each camper will have the opportunity to choose the
activities that meet their special interests and needs.
