Dactylorhiza traunsteineroides
(=traunsteineri) Narrow-leaved Marsh Orchid Nationally ScarceA native perennial orchid of marshes, water meadows and fens with calcareous ground water. Often found in the wettest flushes where there is reduced competition. Restricted to fens in the Waveney/Ouse valley at Market Weston and Carlton Marshes. It appears to be threatened by hybridisation with D. praetermissa and may soon be lost as a pure species. Most of the East Anglian population of this species is in Norfolk.
