Example maps

The maps below are examples of some of the output from the SBRC database. We have a variety of base maps which can help to explain the distribution patterns. These range from habitat data derived from satellite survey, soils, rivers and river catchments, altitude, relative relief, roads and towns as well as the spread of features such as ancient woods, heaths, commons, greens and tyes. Boundary maps for vice-counties, administrative counties and district councils are available as well as natural areas. Other boundaries are easily added using digitising software.

All the maps have been produced using DMAP for Windows software written by Dr Alan Morton
