NOVAMEN
The Hague City EP (Bunker)
Crisp, fresh electro from Holland as bright and dynamic as their national football team, these are spine-shaking electronics designed for midfield inter-play on the dance pitch. In six easy steps you get raw-bass piloted electric soul wrapped around aluminium percussion to produce crystaline electronics for foot and thought. An EP so focused it could probably even take penalties.

ZETA RETICULA
EP (Electrix)
Billy Nasty`s new electro label is kicked off in spectacular style by Slovenian jock Umek. It`s the A-sidešs pair of eruptive electro-shockers that have already been devastating floors on test pressing, with their powerful rhythms, sci-fi melodies and Mellotron-style strings, and look good to carry on their dancefloor-destruction well through the summer..

LE CAR
Remixed (Ersatz Audio)
Le Car get a few expert mechanics in to overhaul some of their previous electro-run models; best of which come from EDMX who fine-tunes `Fony` with the aid of some fuel-injected bleeps before DJ Godfather accelerates away on motorised bass and wet-floor tyres. G.D. Luxxe and Ectomorph are revving in the pits.

7-HURTZ
Stokers Motor (Output)
Destined to take up even greater floor space than the previous single `Beatbox`, its authors 7-Hurtz have a supreme ability at burning off electro that has a truly organic atmosphere, creating a sound that flows effortlessly and fluently, cocktailing musical mechanics and imbibing it all with renegade funk. Their forthcoming album `Audiophilliac` is equally naughty.

SIMULANT
Out Of Ether EP (Scopex)
The Simulant`s second single maintains the high standard set by his debut, again providing four cuts of pristine electro-thunk welded together by tubular bass and motorised percussion. `Access Future Audio` and its accompanying `E.F.A. Mix` are the stand outs, snapping and bubbling away with devastating results, whilst the lower paced `Spectre` has some curling Swordsmen-isms about it. Bionic stuff.

MASS 2008
Contaminated Material EP (Twilight 76)
Detroit`s Twilight 76 has a prolonged history of issuing creative electro from artists such as DJ Godfather, Dick Nixon and Sektor 17. This latest offering by Mass 2008, is fuelled by solid rhythms and the kind of funk that ainšt pre-programmed, being full of Model 500 style rubber-matix, blips and bleeps, speak & spell machines, Kratwerk-ian machine codes and `Blade Runner` style sweeps.
