Although I've given Teegar first place in the credits, I should say that she had the sense to bail out on this story some years ago. All the wonderful characters are hers, all the obsessive plotting is mine. When she put chapter one on her page as a 'finish the story' challenge, it was quickly brought to an entertaining and satisfactory conclusion by several people. This is my long-winded, pedestrian and utterly confusing attempt to do the same. And it's long. Far too long.
