AALGO is a competency-based accreditation award scheme intended for UK based local government officers whose jobs involve any aspect of tree management. Due for launch on the 28th June 2001, it is hoped that this scheme will assist in the development and recognition of arboriculture within the local government sector and produce a nationally recognised standard for the future.
