Department of the Environment - Circular 11/95 - The Use of Conditions in Planning Permissions

Welsh Office version 35/95. This circular was published in July 1995 and provides advice to local authorities on the use of planning conditions. This circular essentially replaces 1/85.

The circular gives advice on a large number of planning subjects with the following being particularly applicable to trees.

Paragraph 51: Trees (use of conditions to protect trees when granting outline and detailed planning permission).
Paragraph 52: Trees (use of conditions to ensure short term retention/replacement of trees after construction is complete).

Appendix A, lists suggested models of acceptable conditions for use by the Local Planning Authority within their legal documents. Those relating to trees are found in:-
