Lantra is recognised by the
government as the National Training Organisation (NTO) for the land-based
sector. During April 2000, Lantra undertook a corporate restructure and set up a
charitable trust, called the Lantra Trust, to oversee all of their
training services. They separated their activities into three groups and formed three new
companies to cater for these. Their research and development work is now carried out by
the Lantra National Training Organisation, their training services is
carried out by Lantra Awards and their management training and business
development services is called Agenda Training.
