Adobe Acrobat File Reader

Many documents are converted into Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) for distribution electronically over the internet. The Adobe PDF system preserves the original appearance and layout of the document, so is ideal for converting documents such as leaflets, reports etc.

The Adobe® Acrobat® [version 4.0] software allows you to carry out such conversions. Most reputable software dealers can supply the software (around £200) or contact Adobe direct.

To enable end users to easily view PDF documents, Adobe have produced a separate Acrobat File Reader. This software wont allow you to create PDF files but will allow you to view and print them. Many files available through the AIE site are stored in PDF format, so an Acrobat Reader is an essential item.

The latest version of the program can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe site. Click here or on the following Logo to visit the Adobe site for download instructions.
