Southwark Playhouse has received generous private and public support since it opened its doors in 1993. Following seed funding from the Foundation for Sports & the Arts which made it possible to gain Lottery Capital funding to refurbish the theatre. In addition to annual revenue funding from Southwark council we receive vital support from private companies such as Financial Times and Shell International and educational trusts (Newcomen Collett, St Olaves & St Saviours.

Our association with the adjacent no 62 restaurant offers excellent opportunities for corporate hospitality.
