Tom!

Captain Tom

Wendy came over all queer in the Co-Op at 5 to 9 in the morning of 4th April. At 2:40p.m. the next day out popped 8½ lbs of Tom! Amy promptly dubbed herself "Locks Big Sister" and frequently uses the phrase "Oh Tom, you are so cute!"

Tom Ti-di-ly Tom, Tom... Tom, TOM!

School

A Schoolgirl

Amy is a schoolgirl now at Morpeth First School (Goosehill) and enjoys it very much. A number of her old nursery friends are in the same class. The children have been very good at making friends together (so good that Amy is not allowed to sit next to her most giggly friend in the classroom anymore!) Even the older children play with her at the after school club and of course there are lots of boyfriends! There have already been some marriages arranged in the playground!

One Helluvanaccent!!

Steve went to San Francisco for 2 weeks on a course. Steve was very impressed with the city and had fun chatting with the locals who were sometimes completely lost by my accent (didn't know I had one) and at other times astonished beyond belief!

Amy and Butterfly

Holidays

Summer holidays were at (ahem...) Peebles Hydro in Scotland. Yes we know, not very adventurous, but with a new wiggly Tom we thought we'd take it easy! Amy went to the kid's club (which was like her nursery) and we felt guilty but Amy loved it and kept asking if she could go every morning! Lots of swimming too, with boys vs. girls races. We went to Edinburgh butterfly and insect world where Amy stroked a millipede and a snake, shook hands with a tarantula and made friends with a butterfly.

Family Tree

Steve collated the efforts of (in some cases years of work by) a number of relatives to produce a growing web-based and graphical version of the Locks family tree. Go to Locks Family Tree to see! Thanks to the efforts of the many people who have worked on this you will see the tree currently contains 9 generations from 1741 - with 591 individuals, 108 photos and 221 comments!

Schreech!

Grandma gave Amy an eighth sized violin two weeks ago. Amy has very short practise sessions (about 5 minutes) with Wendy, but takes it very seriously and has told Wendy she hopes to play in her next orchestral concert!

Still awake?
