After five hours of trecking up and down stairs, the crew begin to lose their tempers. At this point, Mike admits that he has "kicked the fucking map into the creek...haw haw haw!". The students are afraid, and then angry.
Josh attacks Mike into a room and smashes his face in with the torch, and Heather screams something inaudible.
Once night begins to fall, the gang decide to set up camp in a small bedroom, and during the night hear eerie scratching and knocking noises coming from all around them. They freak out, but stay still.
The next morning they are determined to get the hell out of there. Easing their minds by telling themselves the noises they heard were "fucking dogs" they set off again, this time accompanied by Jim, the local they had interviewed previously, who'd become fascinated with the project, but night soon catches them up.
They have to set up camp in a large living room somewhere in the house. During the night, they hear bouncing noises, and scratching, and then blood-curdling screams. Something grabs them and they run like mad monkeys. The lights flash on and off and they escape upstairs into a small bedroom where they feel safer, and get down with some kinky sex.
The next morning they are trecking for hours, but seem to have lost Jim, Steve and the 16mm camera...
They set up camp yet again as darkness falls, in a small bedroom. As they sleep, a scratching sound becomes increasingly loud and there are muffled yelps, sounding remarkably like Jim...something tells them to run, and they do.
Out in the hallway, lights are flashing on and off, the doors are banging shut and all that can be heard is "Aww..fucking hell!!!"
