The Soundchecks...
At first, we were supposed to be the second band...It was supposed to be Lifeform 281, Carnage Candy and then Moody...so the soundchecks were set up in that order... Moody took the stage, and, I must admit, were good at what they do...however, what they do resembles a big pile of shite.
They may not act like Oasis, but they reminded me of, basically, a heavier Oasis... Two fat cunts, a really annoying singer and a drummer who looks like a cross between Lenny Kravitz and Craig Charles...The only good thing about the band was their guitarist, who, at first seemed like a ned, but was some pseudo-Nicky Wire, without the good looks, and he was really fun to watch.
They came off and we went on...they had no bass amp, so I was plugged straight into the PA...which was nice. We burst into "Motown Junk", and screamed our little hearts out, all for a soundcheck, to be met with an encouraging round of applause, and somebody whistling the song for half an hour...
We kept going outside and coming back in, just for a wander around while Lifeform 281 did their soundcheck...Juan and Mon missed it, but I saw some of it...it wasn't too good.
We had been given tickets for this gig...and Juan, Mon and myself had run about Glasgow for two days, getting people to take them... myself and Juan went outside at one point to see four people waiting to get in, which scared us, since they had tickets for us...
