After yet another weekend away, the usual cruise home was a little sluggish, a visit to Fox & Sons revealed a three cylinder flat four!
Somethings missing
There it is!
First glance the bottom of the engine is ok, pistons in one piece and the honing marks still in the bores
But the heads are both looking rough, a crack by the plug on one side and serious breaking up on the other
Shouldn't look like this
A pair of new heads, pushrod tubes, clutch and various gaskets & seals and it should be good for over 50000miles before anymore work is needed. We've got another week to wait till the return of the improved Leonard.
All back in a running sweet again, needs tappets tightening and an oil change after 500miles, so thats'll be next week!
