RANGERS picked up a point in a spirited comeback against Wolves in a game they were unfortunate not to win at Loftus Road. After comprehensively outplaying their visitors in the first half, the R's went in at the interval trailing to a Steve Corica goal. A bright opening by the home side saw them carve out three opportunities without any reward. Karl Ready had a header unceremoniously hacked away by Sedgeley and then Maddix and Langley got in a tangle as they tried to latch onto a clever Peacock cross. And then Chris Kiwomya had the ball robbed from by an acrobatic Mike Stowell punch, after the striker waited to pounce on Baraclough's superb cross. But it was Wolves who struck the opening blow in the 34th minute after a mistake by Baraclough. Former R's star, Andy Sinton, crossed for Corica, who had been left unmarked to fire past Miklosko. It was Sinton who came closest to extending the visitors lead with two efforts, one whistling just wide, and one well held by Miklosko. Rangers started the second half in ebullient mood, with Langley and Kiwomya both going close before the R's got back on level terms in the 75th minute. Langley headed the ball through and Peacock swivelled to fire a low drive from an acute angle. A fully deserved equaliser means Rangers can head into the midweek clash with Cardiff in good spirits, but it is a game they will be disappointed not to have picked up all three points.
