Meeting Joan's Locomotive Driver

Our railway first opened on 1st May 1911, and is now Britain's oldest miniature line. Many of today's passengers rode on it as children, and are now bringing the next generation to share in the experience.  Our steam trains were built in Rhyl during the 1920s, and so have been hauling passengers around Marine Lake for the last eighty years!

Today’s visitors can enjoy the facilities of the new building ‘Central Station’, and learn about the railway’s history from our audio visual presentation. The museum, shop and toilets are open on every day that trains are operating.
