The sunny garden
Introduction
The sunny garden is just the corner of the garden which gets the most sun - almost all day during summer. It's also the highest part of the garden so doesn't get waterlogged. I've tried to mix some more 'exotic' plants in with some common British favourites so the feeling is intended to be generally warm rather than specifically mediterranean or tropical. I don't think the weather here would let me get away with that. In general the theme is strong colours ( no pastels ), and foliage is either red or silvery and spiky wherever possible. I also overwinter some more tender plants in the greenhouse to add in pots once the weather heats up.
