The collation of John Nans is not registered, but his name appears as vicar in a Deed dated the 18 August 1385, relating to the dedication of the Church of St Martin in Meneage

John Oppy was also vicar of St Martin in Meneage, as were several succeeding Vicars of Manaccan.

In 1653 the Living was vacant by sequestration; Philip Howell may have been priest-in-charge or possibly an intruder minister

The Cornish Bishopric was re-constituted in 1877, when Edward White Benson was consecrated its first Bishop. The foundation stone of the Cathedral was laid in 1880. The patronage of Manaccan was transferred to the Bishop of Truro.

In 1902 the Bishop and Lord Chancellor exchanged the patronage of the benefices of St Clement and Manaccan.
