What's NEW Pussycat

Updated March 23 / 2000

Stalker Rifles maintain a constant programme of development to improve our current guns and introduce new exciting models. We wish to share our enthusiasm with all the owners of Stalker rifles and other air gun enthusiasts around the world.

This Page will be used to inform all interested parties about our Latest Products, the Results of Tests Improvementsto Existing Products and any other INFORMATION which we consider of interest to readers.

The "FILTER TIP" Moderator for the Tiger Ten LE.

The Protype of this Super Quiet Moderator is currently under test and initial results show a significant reduction in muzzle blast noise even without the TIP fitted. This has been achieved by changing the materials of construction, which has also reduced the weight so although the complete Filter Tip Moderator is 6" longer than the standard LE the weight is the same, therefore the gun does not become muzzle heavy. The noise reduction produced by this lightweight version is most effective on the higher power guns, particularly the new 40ft.lb version (see next entry). We intend to produce a steel construction version along side the aluminium one, this will be cheaper and is intended for 12ft.lb. guns, although purchasers of such guns can have the lighter weight version if they wish.

The first batch of Filter Tips is under construction and we are taking orders for guns fitted with it.

We must emphasise that the Filter Tip CANNOT be fitted to Existing LEs it can only be supplied as Original equipment.

We will have pictures available very shortly. There is a Picture of the "In the White" condition at http://home.beseen.com/hobbies/airgun/stalker.html and more about us

Filter Tip Firing Tests

Test Firing the Filter Tip on a 40ft.lb Action show a Zero Shift when the Tip is attached. By coincidence we find that the gun shooting Baraccudas without the Tip have the same zero at 50 yards as Premiers do with the Tip. It is with these nearly Super sonic lighter weight pellets that the superior performance of the Filter Tip System is most effective. The Zero shift at 50yards is about a 1.75"drop with Baraccudas after fitting the Tip.

The TIGER TEN LE 40

The Prototype of our latest LE model has been constructed and tested. The LE model with the 15 inch alloy tube will provide 20 shots of over 35ft.lb with a best 10 at 40ft.lb. These 10 shots give a velocity spread of 15 -20 ft./s. with a mean velocity of 923ft./s. using Baracuda Match 5.52mm. 21.3 grain. A muzzle energy of 40.3 ft.lb.

Using the 200cc Buddy Bottle the number of 40ft.lb. shots increases to 18-20.

This High Power Regulator will only be available in Steel, we also recommend the use of the Filter Tip Moderator with it, if quietness is a consideration.

STALKER SUCCESS

After two rounds of BRV WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Dennis Swenson of Florida is in the Lead using his Tiger Ten LE. Well done Dennis, a nice example of US/UK collaboration.

NEW STALKER GUN The "TOMCAT"

We are working on the Stalker version of the BSA Spitfire, to be called the Tomcat. Not many details at the moment but as it is being developed by Adrian and John Bowkett, the designer of the Spitfire, you can be sure it will be a Little Beauty very favourably priced. Pictures and Details as soon as they are available.

A few more details of the Tomcat, first the Price, this will be £395 to include a grade 2 walnut oil finished stock brass trigger guard and moderator. This price does not include a Buddy Bottle, many users will already own a suitable bottle, SuperTen/Theoben bottles are suitable. However for customers who require a Bottle we will offer a good deal.

There will be a few brass twiddly bits, like moderator cap to tart the Tomcat up. A 20ft.lb version will be available along with a Special 40ft.lb one. You will only get 2 shots with the latter but it is so easy to top up the gun we don't think this will be a hindrance, and 40ft.lb. in such a compact gun, perfect for hunting.

Good News

We will have some 400cc Buddy Bottles available soon, don't have a price at the moment, but as soon as they are in stock they will be back in the Price List.
