RHYTHM & BOOZE, September/October 2001 Yippee, trashy shouty poppy punk rock, you really can't beat brash in your face raw punk. The Girlscouts are a three piece band that on here bash out seven songs in under ten minutes including a frantic race through Rockaway Beach. All three members of The Girlscouts sing. Their punk rock tales on such as cliched punk on Punk Rock Cliché and hating someone called Jenny on Jenny. Each song is incredibly catchy, I found myself singing along to the likes of I Don't Mean To Hit My Boyfriend and the anthem (Girlscouts say) Get The Fuck Out on the first playing of this CD. I love punk that is raw, bouncy, simplistic and fast, The Girlscouts are all of these things, this CD is great fun, they have the right bratty attitude and I imagine them to be a riot live.
