Millennium Book

In the spring of 1999, the idea of producing a Millennium 'snapshot' of Ashford Carbonell was put forward. At that time, no-one realised what a mammoth undertaking that this would prove to be. It was two years in production - but everyone who has seen it agrees that the result is nothing short of superb.

Ashford Carbonell 2000 A.D. is a 142-page full colour book that encompasses every aspect of the village. Every house is included, farming and the surrounding countryside is well-represented - even the local tradesmen, the postman, the milkman and the dustman have found their way into the pages of this fascinating portrait of this lovely south-Shropshire village.

See the village through the eyes of one of the UK's most accomplished photographers, Jeremy Hall (who lives at the Ashford Manor), who was once the official photographer at the Tower of London Armouries. His superb photographs capture the village across all seasons and the River Teme in all of its moods.

And don't forget, many of Jeremy's photographs are featured on the cards that are for sale and, enlarged and beautifully mounted, make wonderful presents. Click here to see for yourself.
