Ditchling Quakers

So why might you want to come to a Quaker Meeting ?

(A Meeting is the name for our Church Service)

Within a Quaker Meeting the spiritual communities encourage independent thought which can lead anyone to minister from the silence, if so guided by the spirit.

We believe

That everyone has the right to seek truth and meaning for themselves.

That the fundamental tools for doing this are your own life experience,

your reflection on it, your intuitive understanding, and the promptings of your own conscience.

The best setting for this is a community who welcome you for what you are,

complete with your beliefs, doubts and questions.

"The humble, meek, merciful, just, pious, and devout souls are everywhere of one religion; and when death has taken off the mask they will know one another, though the diverse liveries they wear here makes them strangers."

William Penn, 1693
