STORY 

A true story based on a famous Poet Gu Cheng from exotic China. He falls in love with two beautiful women and tries to create a garden of Eden in New Zealand in his adopted country. However he struggles with the two women. His affairs ultimately end in vicious recriminations and murder. A tragic story about a poet and artist who lost his way in life.

The start of the story is about Gu Cheng who is looking for his son that he left in New Zealand due to the sacrifices he made when he was struggling to work and to write after his confused lifestyle and mental illness. But his son does not recognise or know who he is.... it follows about Gu Cheng thinking about his past.....

SCENES

 

Gu Cheng sees Reimi for the first time at a train station and draws her portrait   

                                                                                            Reimi suddenly notices Gu Cheng drawing her and gets attracted.

                 

                                  Although they do not know each other Gu Cheng asks Reimi to visit him in Beijing. (Its love at first sight)

 

Reimi goes to Gu Chengs house in Beijing and is amazed by his talents. Gu Cheng and Reimi tell one another they will never apart.

Later Gu Cheng and Reimi are married but Gu Cheng meets beautiful Beijing girl Ching-er. They both fall in love at first sight as well. However Reimi and Ching-er become good friends too just like sisters but Reimi also knows Ching-er is in love with Gu Cheng too. Reimi and Gu Cheng decide to go to New Zealand as there new immigration home for a better future. They tell Ching-er that they will greet her there when the time comes.

   

Reimi sees Gu Cheng as a successful Poet.                                        Soon Reimi is pregnant with a son.

 

Reimi's new lifestyle in Gu Chengs Garden of Eden .  They realise they now have a home, son, car and happiness but no wealth.                            

   

Ching-er finally arrives in New Zealand and Gu Cheng's passion life is much stronger. But soon Reimi can't stand the neighbours talking about their two women affair with one man. Not only is that bothering Reimi but also money is running out as she is only selling spring rolls for a living. Gu Cheng changes completely after his affair with Ching-er, he no longer believes in his poets and is living in confusion. Gu Cheng decides he does not want his son as he cant afford a living. Reimi takes her son to the headmistress to look after. She persuades Gu Cheng to go to Germany with her so he can teach there and earn a living.

 

Ching-er still loves Gu Cheng but she realises he has nothing. She tells Reimi that she will leave him forever.

 

Unfortunately Gu Cheng has gone mental  as he only thinks about Ching-er. Gu Cheng wont teach or work and money is short. Reimi cannot stand it any longer and goes back to New Zealand. She decides she needs a divorce and to get custody for her Childs future. However she cant divorce unless Gu Cheng signs the documents. Gu Cheng travels to New Zealand in search of Reimi but is like a mad man in lost. Reimi suddenly sees Ching-er and follows her car. A herd of sheep block their route and the two women are in hate. Ching-er tells Reimi that Gu Cheng only wants her as a sex toy and it makes her feel awful being used. She persuades to Reimi that Gu Cheng needs only his wife in is life otherwise he will give up. Reimi is tired as she can no longer look after a man who will never grow up.

  

Gu Cheng finds Reimi in their old house and persuades her not to leave, but she had already decided to go to Germany. Gu Cheng gets angry and decides he cannot let her go with a divorce. He uses a hammer and murders Reimi. After Reimi's death he decides was never found. His last poet was devoted to his son.
