Actor Christopher Eccleston has quit as Doctor Who after just one episode of the new series has been screened, the BBC has confirmed. Bookies have tipped Casanova actor David Tennant as the hot favourite to replace Eccleston as the Time Lord, with odds of 1/10. Saturday 19th March saw a Who night of The Story of Dr Who, Some Things You Need To Know About Dr Who, and Dr Who Mastermind. The first episode 'Rose' aired Saturday 26th and featured the return of the Autons and new companion Rose joining the time traveller.

The show features new ideas like the TARDIS interior and a new Doctor Who with a modern dress-sense, however old concepts have returned, like the old Delia Derbyshire theme tune updated and the Autons, Daleks and an old foe returning.

Finally, all that is left for me to say is to keep watching the show every Saturday evening at 7pm, hide behind the sofa and enjoy!
