Liverpool beat West Ham on penalties to win a thrilling FA Cup final.
The Hammers took an early two-goal lead thanks to Jamie Carragher's own goal and Dean Ashton's close-range strike, before Djibril Cisse pulled one back.

Gerrard named player of the year
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has claimed the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award.
It is the first time the 25-year-old has been named player of the year by his peers, although he was Young Player of the Year in 2001.

Gerrard wins European player poll
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been voted the best player in Europe at Uefa's annual awards ceremony.
Gerrard was voted last season's most valuable player by a panel of coaches, with Chelsea duo Petr Cech and John Terry named best keeper and defender.

Crouch to make £7m Liverpool move
Southampton striker Peter Crouch will complete a £7m move to Liverpool, subject to a medical expected to take place in the next two days.
