Not a long course as some course go but Garforth is a very good test of accuracy.  Being 6304 yards long with a number of fairways lined with silver birch makes it the golfer think about his drive and second shots.

The Club logo of a Cock and water represents the Cock Beck which intertwines through the course, and is also famous in history at running red with blood during the numerous battles fought over this particular part of Yorkshire.

The club can boast of having amongst it's members, Mike Holiday, German Amateur Champion and Yorkshire Champion ( ****), Phil Wardle, *********Jon Ellis, Yorkshire Champion (1995), and Arran Wainwright, English Amateur Champion (1998) and Runner-up British Championship 1999. In addition to those honours the club has produced several Leeds and District Presidents and also, too many to list here, Local and County
