SCHOOLS WORK

We aim to prevent crisis in young people and as part of our crisis prevention programme, as have worked and continue to work with over 700 pupils regularly.

Our schools programme is divided into 2 areas: Student & Pupil Support Services (SPSS) and Student & Pupil Education Services (SPES).  The SPSS programme is currenty being developed to provide a puil monitoring service, support groups for pupils at risk from

exclusion, help for schools wishing to develop peer monitoring programmes and lunch time advice drop in sessions for pupils.

Our SPES programme places a schools worker in the classroom and covers both Personal and Social Education (PSE) and Religious Education.  The PSE programmes are designed to give pupils an understanding
of some of the major issues

young people are facing today.  HIV/AIDS, drugs, alcohol & solvent abuse, homelessness, crisis resolution, bullying and conflict resolution are just some of what we can offer to schools.

Our RE programme is designed to give young people an understanding of how faith and beliefs influence people and their behaviour.  We also use these lessons to work alongside students who are under-achievers, or display behavioural problems.
