Forgive me David but is it a case of 2 oldtimers together?...... David proudley holding his old time Super Scorpion that fly's like a bird. - This kit was made by Ben Buckle. Ben died a few years back and the business is carried on by his son, Colin Buckle. I first made a Scorpion back in 1947/48 it was kitted by Keith Kraft in those days I think it was about 48" span. I had a Diesel Milford Mite engine. They used to say it might go or it might not . I broke its engine and used it as a glider. It disappeared when I did National Service in the RAF. My Super Scorpion is about 15 years old now. It was tissue covered originally, but last year (1998) I recovered it in glosstex. It's a lovely flyer and old timer, now powered by a Merco 30.
