Family History Research and Genealogy
Averil & Mike will be pleased to carry out Family History Research/Genealogy for you.
Our charge is GBP7.50 per hour (plus any incidental expenses - which we would discuss with you before making the expenditure).
We require an 'upfront' payment of GBP30 to cover the first 4 hours. On receipt of your instructions (by email or whichever form of communication you prefer) we will immediately begin the research on your behalf.
We will consult with you, report back to you and keep you 'in the picture' at all stages; and we will certainly report back to you before the expiry of the initial 4 hours.
We are members of the Cornwall Family History Society, the Royal Cornwall Institute(the Society for the Royal Cornwall Museum), the Cornwall Association of Local Historians, the South West Maritime History Society and the Historical Society of the UK. We like discovering about the past - how things worked, what people did, why they did them - particularly in Cornwall; and we'll do our best to make your project worthwhile, productive and good-value for you.
Our reports can be in simple text form, or in genealogical software format(which program would you prefer?) or in glossy hardback brochure form (including photographs if appropriate and practical). If you would like either of the two latter options(software or hardback copy), please let us know your requirements at the beginning so that we can organise ourselves accordingly. Thanks!
