The Belleek Pottery - "Captains Plate"

The images below are of a Belleek plate entitled (and specially marked) "The Captains Plate". It was commissioned for an un-named Cruise Line. The Cruise Line was unable to take delivery of all of the plates.

This gives Belleek Collectors the opportunity to obtain a plate which was originally only intended for passengers of that Cruise Line. It is not known if the plates were for sale on-board, as a momento of the voyage(s), or whether they were gifts for those dining at the Captains Table.

There are a few unusual things about these plates which collectors will be interested in.......

They are: specially marked
                 wrapped in blue tissue
in a special blue box - in the style of an old travelling chest/case
the box has the Cruise Line logo but doesn't say "Belleek" on it.

The card inside is the current "normal" Belleek card.

The plate is available direct from:  The Belleek Pottery
