Although in the past it has a direct bearing on what I do so I include it on this page. I applied for and secured a place at a university sector college in Southampton called the Southampton Institute of Higher education. I was to study for an HND in computing, I had always had an interest in computing and if I was going to have any re-direction in my life it had to be something that I enjoyed. I started my course in 1993, I was 42 years of age and for the first couple of years with a young daughter and a wife working full time it was tough, financially, study wise and emotionally. After two years I managed to get accepted on the honours degree course. To Norman davies and Ian Tromans I will always be eternally grateful. In 1997 I graduated with an upper second class degree (with honours) in Business Information Technology. That same year I was asked to consider lecturing at my college as a part time lecturer, I now tutor first year degree students in the mysteries of Systems Analysis and Design and I find it one of the most enjoyable things in my life and if you want to find out more about my college go here----
