I shall be disappointed if you cant find something in my range that you would like to build! There is a wide range of designs, with something for most construction abilities. These kits are for people interested in analogue radio - so no micro-processors or software defined radio here! You can start with a small project or build your own complete station - most projects will suit the practical examination aspects of obtaining your licence. The circuitry is what I concentrate on with the aim of maximising 'performance' for whatever you decide to spend. When combined with low cost mechanics, they kits provide excellent value for money. I also publish Hot Iron quarterly for members of my Construction Club with articles, questions, etc on semi-technical subjects, and advance notices for new kits - so why not join now!
QRP in Country 2012
The date is decided! For all of you in the South and West of England, please keep July 15th 2012 free! Plenty of space for anybody who wishes to have a stall - Clubs or individuals are very welcome! As before, the theme is QRP radio, home construction, older technology and kits etc in a country setting. Outside if the WX is good or inside in the farm barns if poor, (as for 2011 in photo). Please let me know if you want a stall.

The Mendip and Polden have been reconfigured as a three band CW DC TCVR but with an optional extra kit for sideband suppression if wanted. This gets the basic price below the magic £100!

I hope so! If not please tell me what's missing - I maybe working on it already but I am always delighted to have suggestions for new kits. Any comments or questions are very welcome to me, Tim Walford G3PCJ, at the address below or via e mail to walfor@globalnet.co.uk This site was last updated on Oct 19th 2011
