Yard Dogs!

Like most livery yards, dogs have their role at Clyn Du. When Red, Pip and Fudge are around, then so is Bobby! They are her mascots, especially Red, no surprise for German Shepherd officiandos who understand the "loyalty binds me" menatality of this extraordianry breed.

Red is a 7 year old short-haired GSD. He's big and bold and an excellent guard dog. Nothing gets past him. However, Oliver, a 16.2hh IDxTB, proved more than a match for Red. He caught him in the mouth when he was a puppy and knocked his front teeth out!

Pip is a Jack Russell bitch and quiet for her breed. Her speciality is finding stones and presenting them for people to throw for her to retrieve. She also has a nose for rodents and pity help any who ventrue onto her patch!

Fudge is most people's favourite. Son of Pip, he has inherited none of her reserve! Fudge is usually first on the scene and has been known to have the occasional horseback lesson! A horse standing near the mounting block is sure to have him on the saddle!

Clun Du's dogs are part of the scenery and even accompany hacks, which is very useful as drivers who fail to see the need to slow down for horses usually slow down for dogs!
