Bobby's Babies!

The majority of equines at Clyn Du are ponies and they do the bread and butter work at the centre. There are numerous children learning riding skills with Bobby and her team and there's a pony for all ocassions!

Here are just a few of the favourites.

Tom

Tom, a section C Welsh cob gelding, standing at around 13.2hh, is a school favourite. He is owned by Mary, who competes with him when she is able to. He is one of the most biddable ponies at Clyn Du - nothing fazes him! He's a fast little thing, too!

Max

Max, at two, is Clyn Du's baby. His grandmother, Peggy, is a Welsh CobX and his mum, Cindy, was born at Clyn Du. Sadly, Cindy died shortly after Max's birth, but Max is doing well, with Uncle Duncan, a Shetland pony, for companionship.

Champ

Champ is a beautiful palamino gelding. Just look at that blond hair -wow! He's a real foodie, too! One of his specialities is breaking out. Bobby often has to refence after Champ miraculously finds his way into resting fields! Many a morning he has been found grazing contentedly after another break-out!

Cracker

Cracker lives up to his name! He is owned by Verona, DC of the pony club and instructor at Clyn Du. Verona's daughter, Sarah, rides him regularly and he is also used as a school pony. He has quite a pop when he jumps and as Sarah grows in confidence and experience look out for Cracker in local competitions. He was part of the dressage team that took first place in the Pony Club Competition.

These are just a few of the ponies at Clyn Du. Watch this space as we change the profiles regularly.
