Individually
tailored programmes designed to align skill development with strategic plans,
management competencies and personal development needs.
Key
Benefits
We will start with a discussion of your needs and on
the issues you are concerned to address, focusing on the benefit to the
company and increasing the actual worth of the individual/s. This means that
the training you get will be cost effective and address the real needs of
the company.
Our approach addresses a full range of adult learning
styles and situations to enhance learning and retention. This means that
your delegates will be able to immediately implement the practical ideas and
concepts into the work environment.
Our comprehensive interactive design and development
process ensures that you, as the client, are engaged in the process, and it
is not "being done to you". This will ensure that you get what you
want.
Capabilities
DWA has at its disposal a number of tutors and
facilitators who are experienced in many different areas of Management
Development and Personal Skills Training. The range extends from practical
problem solving, creativity development, decision making to leadership
development, team building, etc.
-
1. Developing
Management Skills
-
Leadership, Team Building and Change Management. These
focus areas can be dealt with using the existing teams from the organisation
and concentrating on the organisational/team issues that exist in the
company. The concerns and issues lend themselves to using outdoor
simulations and exercises to leverage real-time discussions about
performance and achievements.
-
2. Developing
Personal Skills
-
These programmes are practical and activity-based to
give the delegate the opportunity of trying new behaviours in a
non-threatening environment. The focus tends to be on interpersonal skills
such as negotiating, selling, presenting, teaching/mentoring, assertiveness,
etc.
-
The development of coaching skills both for managers
and associates is one of our major focus areas, as we believe that the
development of a coaching culture within an organisation can lead to
considerable improvements in individual and group performance.
-
-
3. Functional
Skills
-
This area focuses on more factual activities and is
designed to enhance the effectiveness of managers and supervisors in the
work place. As with the previous activities extensive use is made of
real-time exercises and actual company processes where possible. The areas
covered consist of personal time management, appraisal skills, problem
solving, decision making, report writing, selling skills, customer service
skills, creative thinking, etc.
