Town Crier to the Mayor of
London and Greater London Authority also
Town Crier to the City of
Westminster, where you will find most of
London's tourist attractions including, the famous
Covent Garden market,
one of the West End's major shopping and tourist
attractions. It is home to
Buckingham Palace,
Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliment,
Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Trafalgar
Square and other tourist attractions
including Madame
Tussauds and the famous shopping streets of
Oxford Street ,
Regent Street and
Bond Street, infact there is something for
everyone in the City of Westminster.
Town Crier for the London
Borough of Merton, Home of the All England
Lawn tennis Championships, where Peter can be seen
performing his art during Wimbledon fortnight
outside the main gates which is often shown on
television throughout the world.
In
the East end of London, Peter holds the title of
Town Crier for the Borough of
Tower Hamlets, where you will find
HM Tower of London,
the famous Petticoat
Lane street market, the area of
Whitechapel and
London Docklands.
In the
West of London, Peter holds the title of
Town Crier to the Mayor and
citizens of the Borough of Ealing. Famous
for it's 'Ealing
comedies', which were made at the
Ealing film studios.
With such titles as the
Lavender Hill Mob and
many other famous British films. Ealing has a
wealth of parkland including the common.
Peter is
Town Crier of Haringey,
home to a multi-cultural community of 216,000
people in 11.5 square miles in North London.
Comprising of residential, shopping and industrial
areas it boasts many wild woods and parks.
Historic Alexandra
Palace, the birthplace of television where
the first programme was broadcast in November 1936
is now a national exhibition centre and park.
Haringey also is
home to the famous Tottenham
Hotspurs football team and the impressive
36,000 all seater White Hart
Lane Stadium.
Haringey was formed
in 1965 from the old boroughs of Hornsey, Tottenham
and Wood Green.
Haringey is well
served with transport to
Central London and now
connects with a fast link to
Stanstead Airport.
In the
London
Borough of Southwark, Peter is Town
Crier, Toastmaster and Deputy Mace Bearer to the borough of Southwark. With
it's two cathedrals, plus Shakespeare's
Globe Theatre at Bankside,
adjacent to the river Thames -
Southwark is steeped
in history and is well worth a visit.
Peter is also Town Crier
Tipstaff to the Royal
Borough of Kingston upon
Thames. This is the original King's Town.
Seven anglo saxon kings were crowned within its
walls in the tenth century, staking the towns
claims (along with Winchester) to be the ancient
capital of England. With it's 13th century market
place still bustling with markets held since
medievil times. Today it is a thriving retail
centre on the southwest outskirts of London.
Flaunting the towns royal historical roots is the
majestic center piece of
Hampton Court Palace,
built in the early 15th century it is England's
oldest survivng tudor palace. The Royal Borough is
well worth a visit and make sure you visit the
Guild Hall where the
Coronation Stone is on
display in the grounds outside.
