Lord Mayor's Show - Saturday 8th November 2008
Mr Peter Lewis-Crown, the organiser of the Guild's float in the Lord Mayor's Show on Saturday 8th November, has asked me to write to thank you most warm-heartedly for your kindness and support on the day of the Lord Mayor's Show, and to send you a photograph as a small memento of the occasion.
Despite the fact that the weather was less then perfect on the day, the cheerfulness and enthusiasm displayed by everyone on the Guild's vehicles was unfailing, and the overall impression was such that the organisers have received many messages of congratulation and appreciation, from the Lord Mayor himself as well as from many others.
Clearly the event was a great success, and was a fitting celebration of the Guild's centenary. Therefore, on behalf of the Master, Wardens and all the members of the Guild I would also like to thank you most sincerely for supporting the Guild in such a colourful way on this memorable occasion.
Despite the weather, I hope that you, personally, were able to enjoy the Show, and that you were not too waterlogged by the time you were finally able to get indoors!
With grateful thanks for all you did for us on Saturday 8th November,
Yours sincerely

Brigadier Michael I Keun
Clerk to the Guild
