The Irish Post - article 3
Sun and Fun at Southwark

THEY came in their thousands and left heralding what was probably the best ever Southwark Irish Festival.
People travelled from far and wide to the fields of Peckham Rye for a celebration of all things Irish over the weekend.
Glorious weather on the Sunday for the highlight of the festival saw a crowd easily as big as in any previous year.
Revelers sang, danced and cheered as a succession of acts took to the main stage to entertain the crowds.
Various stalls including representation from county associations also did brisk business throughout the day.
Marie Jones travelled

from Camden for the big day and declared it the best Southwark Irish Festival she's seen.
She said: "I've been to a few over the years but this one must be the best one yet.
"The weather had brought more people out and the atmosphere throughout the day has been simply fantastic."
And Paul O'Toole from Southwark agreed.
"What a great day". he said. "I've never seen so many people here from all over London and further afield. It's really been something special this year.
"The acts have been great and everyone is determined to enjoy themselves."
