television programmes all over
the worls." He prefers bright red
costumes, carries a bell and
simply loves to cry. No, he is
not Santa Claus, though he is
often mistaken for Mr Claus. Meet
Peter Moore, the town crier. "My
costume opens up doors, even
those who don't understand
English." says Moore, who has
announced and promoted various
royal and not-so-royal events.
Moore was recently in the city to
cry out loud. "I hvae been a town
crier for 25

years now and love it. From
royak events to parades, I have
been all over the world," says
the man
Before being a town crier, Moore
used to be a stage actor and was
featured in many TV and radio
shows/ "I am the oldest form of
communication and I am cryng for
the latest technology," he says.
Moore who was in town to promote
Sift iway. currently, he is busy
crying in favour of the Taj
Mahal, Indian weather, Indian
culture and Indian beauty.
"People are so friendly here.
some just shake hands with me and
feel happy about it," says moore
who claims to enjoy what he
