PUPILS from Hallfield Infants Community School were given a cheque for £500 when they cut the ribbon to mark the opening of Tesco's Metro store in

Queensway on Monday.
The Bayswater school's deputy headteacher, Kathy Al-Timini, said: "The money will be put to good use on new books for the children as our

library is an area we are constantly striving to improve."
The store gave a further £500 to Age concern Westminster at the launch.
