There's a revolution taking
place in the high streets of Britain's major towns and cities, as Lloyds TSB unveils its new store design.
Out go cashiers behind glass screens, in come open counter's out goes queuing up, in come greeters, waiting to point customers to the correct sales and service points.
The changes are designed to ensure a visit to a branch is a more comfortable, enjoyable and productive experience for customers. With access to information and advice via online terminals, open interview rooms and space to relax and catch up on community information, the new branches not only look different |
they feel different as well.
Neal Jones is Operations Director in Store Services. He says: "We are undertaking a rolling program of refurbishment in all major stores in key locations up and
down the country, where we Know the investment will generate the right returns. Also, any new stores that open will do so in the new style.
"shops on the high street are becoming more exciting, welcoming Places to be and there's no reason why our stores should be any different."
New look stores have been opened, at the time of writing, in Hull (Jameson Street), Sheffield, and London (Cheapside, 399 Oxford Street, Law Courts, Stratford). |
