This is one
Turkey that will definitely not
feature in this year's Christamas
festivities. Holly, as she has
now been called, has been rescued
from the dinner table and given a
new life. Holly was presented to
London's town crier as part of an
annual Christmas tradition at
historic Rules restaurant in
Covent Garden. |
For the second
year running, however Peter
Moore, who is also town crier for
Merton, was given the option of
saving the bird and has this year
decided to donate her to Deen
City Farm. Holly moved in last
Thursday and can be visited at
the Morden farm's open day and
car boot sale on Sunday.
