The title of each Thing (a reference to a quotation from 1 ac in the upper diagram) is to be discovered and fitted into the appropriate horizontal light in one of the two diagrams.  An association between the Things, 10 ac in the upper diagram and 25 ac in the lower diagram should be noted.  For the remaining lights, each clue is in two parts, although the division may not be obvious and the punctuation may be misleading.  The first part of the clue refers to the upper diagram, and the second part to the lower diagram.
