Jenny Barrie: Director |

Jenny Barrie formed Exultate! after having the misfortune to attend six funerals in the space of as many months, all of people close to her. She realised what a need there was for a choir at this sort of occasion. So few people sing after the age of eleven and thus feel unable to when they’re at church, especially at a time of stress. For weddings, too, music needs to be well-performed, and if congregational singing is led from the front it gives others the courage to join in! |

Jenny Barrie is an outstanding professional musician with wide-ranging skills. She has conducted the Leamington Sinfonia for fourteen years, and has transformed the orchestra from an evening class into an independent and flourishing symphony orchestra. She is taking the orchestra to Paris in April1999. |

Jenny is extremely versatile and has experience ranging from pre-school through primary and secondary education to adult education. She is an innovator, an excellent administrator and her enthusiasm is infectious to those with whom she works. One of her most satisfying projects has been the Wilmcote Festival, a biennial festival celebrating community life in the small village of Wilmcote, near Stratford-upon-Avon, home of Shakespeare’s mother, Mary Arden. |
