Exultate! try to give two large charity concerts each year for local or national charities.

In March 1998 they gave a concert in Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon, for the Stapleford Trust, a charity researching drug addiction and its treatment. A large and appreciative audience enjoyed an evening of “Musical Lollipops”!

On August 14th an even larger audience, in the same church, had a wonderful evening with Exultate! and some close friends: Peter Summers (organ), Ian Hattersley (trumpet), and Jayne May-Sysum (soprano). This concert was in aid of Cancer Research Campaign, and over £750 was raised. Highlights of the concert included “As Torrents in Summer”, by Edward Elgar, paired with “Linden Lea”, by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The audience was delighted to hear “Let The Bright Seraphim” by Handel, a virtuoso duet for soprano and trumpet.

In October 1999 sixteen members of Exultate! joined forces with the Leamington Sinfonia to give a performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria and Handel’s anthem Zadok the Priest. Jenny persuaded three of her friends to join her in the first half in a performance of Bach’s 2nd Brandenburg Concerto.
It is this flexibilty which makes Exultate! such an attractive proposition. If you would like us to give a concert for you, then please get in touch with Jenny Barrie - Email exultate@wilmcote.globalnet.co.uk
