The British Pétanque Association (BPA) used to govern our sport in the UK -- but some countries felt they did not have enough autonomy.

The British Pétanque Federation (BPF) was set-up to oversee separate national bodies, England's being the English Pétanque Association (EPA).

The BPF seems to have got into difficulties and I believe has been disbanded-- thus we now get our guidance from the EPA who now issue our Rule books etc.
