Oedipus accuses Tiresias of plotting to overthrow Laius, but not of the actual murder (but only because he was blind). This enrages Tiresias, who now reveals that Oedipus is the killer of Laius, and that he is living sinfully with his loved ones. Oedipus does not seem to be listening. Is it because he's too angry, or is it because

• he is convinced that Tiresias is part of a plot against him?
• he knows he is totally innocent of the charges?
• he is secretly worried, but decides to brazen it out?
