The messenger tells how Oedipus crashed through the house with his sword drawn from room to room, looking for Jocasta. He found her hanging, already dead. Oedipus grabbed the pins fastening her dress at the shoulders, and stabbed his eyes repeatedly.
Soon he comes out of the house, a grotesque parody of his entrance at the start. What do the Chorus blame for what's happened to him?
